Is swimming with a pool noodle good for you? It sounds like an oxymoron doesn't it? However, if you think about it, a swimming noodle is actually one of the most beneficial pieces of exercise equipment you can invest in. And you don't just mean while you're swimming. Practicing in the pool is a great way to work all of your muscles, and using a noodle while you swim is also a great way to strengthen your body at the same time.

 

Think of your noodle as a great fitness partner. Your noodle is going to pull you every which way, but your body isn't going to have any kind of reaction to that. This makes for a great form of cardiovascular exercise that you can do while you're swimming in the pool. You can't just run up to the edge of the pool and start paddling your own flippers.
